Lodge Hill Garage was established back in 2003 when owner Peter Jewson took the business over. Although it had been operating as a car garage, it was in need of some serious renovation.
Peter proceeded to rebuild the garage from scratch, replacing the floors, walls, glass windows and adding offices and workshops, a coffee lounge and a floodlit canopy. In 2011 Peter placed a replica spitfire plane on the roof of the garage in order to create a landmark in Abingdon and to honour the brave female spitfire pilots of the Air Transport Auxiliary, who flew planes in World War 2 with limited training and in dangerous conditions.
